* with python 3.7.5 in warrior (and backported to thud in meta-ros) it was using i586 from TUNE_ARCH based on DEFAULTTUNE setting as fixed in: https://github.com/ros/meta-ros/commit/b8efe1dfcfce63135d846df0106085f83aeaa790 then with zeus the DEFAULTTUNE was changed and used i686 by default but it was still matching with python3 configure: ros2-dashing-zeus$ grep SOABI tmp-glibc/work/core2-32-oe-linux/python3/3.7.7-r0/temp/log.do_configure checking SOABI... cpython-37m-i686-linux-gnu but then this patch from warrior was modified again in dunfell: https://git.openembedded.org/openembedded-core/commit/?h=dunfell&id=6beab388e73b3ac6157650855a6c1fb1d71e8015 and now it uses i386 instead of i686, at least the same behavior is now in dunfell, gatesgarth with 3.8 and hardknot 3.9: ros2-rolling-dunfell$ grep SOABI tmp-glibc/work/core2-32-oe-linux/python3/3.8.2-r0/temp/log.do_configure checking SOABI... cpython-38-i386-linux-gnu ros2-rolling-gatesgarth$ grep SOABI tmp-glibc/work/core2-32-oe-linux/python3/3.8.5-r0/temp/log.do_configure checking SOABI... cpython-38-i386-linux-gnu ros2-rolling-hardknott$ grep SOABI tmp-glibc/work/core2-32-oe-linux/python3/3.9.0-r0/temp/log.do_configure checking SOABI... cpython-39-i386-linux-gnu Signed-off-by:
